Markus Molitor comes to India
Its not everyday India sees German wines making headway, especially Riesling. So when we heard Markus Molitor from Mosel Valley has come to India, curiosity indeed got the better of us. These wines have been recently launched in India starting at Rs 3282 for their entry level Riesling. They are being imported and distributed in India by Berkmann Wine Cellars India and will soon be available in restaurants and retail outlets.
Markus Molitor is 30-odd year old brand but viticulture and wine-making has been in the family for 8 generations. At ITC Grand Central’s Kebabs and Kurries, Dr Asif Jamal, COO Exports for Markus Molitor was explaining the different categories of German wines as we tasted four whites and a red wine paired with Indian cuisine.
