Hipcask’s Monsoon Cocktails
After much delay, the monsoons have finally arrived! Our outings may come down in the fear of getting caught in the rains, or worse getting caught in traffic but we are mighty glad that the torturous city heat has dissipated.
Our love-hate relationship with Mumbai Monsoons will continue, in the meantime to keep those monsoon blues away we’ve designed cocktails that will bring back some cheer.
Fill a mixing jar with ice, pour all ingredients together and stir till mixed and thoroughly chilled. Pour in a low ball glass and serve with a peel of orange.
We made the Marmalade syrup using Bhuira’s 3 Fruit Marmalade, cinnamon infused simple syrup, and black pepper.
45 ml Vodka
30 ml Sauvignon Blanc wine
1 ml Vanilla Bitters
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
Fill a mixing jar with ice, pour all ingredients together and stir till mixed and thoroughly chilled. Pour into a tall glass filled with ice top with tonic water.
60 ml Gin
1 ml Kaffir Lime bitters
1 ml Ginger Bitters
Pinch of Pepper
In a tall glass pour the gin, bitters and pepper, stir. Add the ice and top with tonic water quickly stir again. Garnish with a slice of ginger and serve.
