Four Wise Men launches!
Four Wise Men wines, collaboration between Indian Wine List and York Winery, have launched their first wine in Maharashtra. The wine being introduced is the Two Barrels Reserve. Priced at Rs 950, the limited edition wine with its 500 bottles is a blend of Cabernet from York’s cellars. Two Barrels Reserve has expressive aromas of blackberries, eucalyptus, dark chocolate and a hint of spice on the nose. The palate starts with blackberries, leading to cocoa and nutmeg, finishing with slight tobacco, oak and cloves. The wine has been aged for 18 months in second fill French Oak which gives the wine plenty of soft tannins without getting over powered by the oak.
Indian Wine List led by founders Aneesh Bhasin and Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya came together with Kailash and Ravi Gurnani of the award winning winery York Winery from Nashik, to create this boutique brand of wine. This particular blend was originally created as part of Ravi Gurnani’s wedding celebrations by brother Kailash. When they shared it with Bhasin and Mukhopadhyaya it was an easy decision to market the wine as a new brand. Four Wise Men wines are currently available at select retail outlets and restaurants in Mumbai as well as the Tasting Room at York Winery, Nashik.
Four Wise Men will continue with the niche limited-edition approach to market their wines. They are looking at introducing more blends including a white in the future.
