First Look: BrewBot, Andheri
There is a new brewpub in town! BrewBot. It is slated to open middle of September in the suburb of Andheri. The men behind this retro robot themed brewpub – Anand Morwani, Ansh Seth and Ketan Sinh Gohel – have spent 4 years behind the project, from locating the right venue, licenses to finally setting it all up.
They’ve roped in veteran brewer Julie Baggett from the US to be their head brewmaster. Bagett has over 20 years of experience in the field and BrewBot will be her third assignment in India. Bagett plans to introduce three beers to start off with – Hefeweizen, Kolsch and a chocolate oatmeal stout along with seasonal brews.
BrewBot will be serving their brews in 2 sizes, 500 ml and 330 ml where the latter will cost anywhere between Rs 200-300 excluding taxes depending on the beer. You can also have tasting session where you can taste 100 ml of the beers; the pricing for this is yet to be decided.
BrewBot intends to take its food as seriously as it does its beers. Under Morwani’s helm, who is a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef, the menu plans to have feel good food along with international classics. All of it will revolve around beer and how the food pairs with beer.
With Gateway Brewing Company beers on tap at Woodside – All Day Bar & Eatery just 5 minutes away, Andheri West is looking like the spot for craft beers in Mumbai.
