Château Cos d’Estournel 2012 Blanc
During our visit to France early this year, we had the fortune of visiting the famed Château Cos d’Estournel. We are a big fan of this Bordeaux winery and were thrilled to try their Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon blend.
The winery was set up by Louis Gaspard d’Estournel in 1811. Thanks to his relentless work, the wines’ fame grew and they were exported even to India, earning him the title of Maharaja of Saint- Estèphe. But due to debts he had to sell the estate to a bank in 1852, changing hands many times since then. Today, Château Cos d’Estournel has six labels. The estate is owned by Michel Reybier who aims to maintain the high standards and excellence in the estate’s wines and has undoubtedly succeeded.
