All Things Nice’s Wine Week
All Things Nice has introduced its second edition of Wine Week in Mumbai – The Deutsche Bank All Things Nice Wine Week. Based on the success of the first year Nikhil Agarwal, Sommelier and Director, All Things Nice has gotten together 28 restaurants and 25 restaurant brands split into stand alone restaurants and restaurants in hotels to offer set course menus paired with wine in addition to a flat 30% discount on any bottle of wine ordered.
The Week began August 25, 2013 and is on till August 31, 2013; consumers can make a reservation on All Things Nice’s website by selecting one restaurant (or more) for each night. Agarwal says, “The amount of discount in terms of value depends on the price level of wine ordered. You could order a bottle of wine at 2000, 5000, 10000 or even a lakh and you would get the 30% discount on all of them.” Some of the participating restaurants include Two One Two Bar & Grill, Pali Village Café, Ellipsis, The Tasting Room, Olive Bandra and Mahalaxmi, Vinoteca by Sula, select restaurants at Taj Lands End, Four Seasons Mumbai, Trident Nariman Point, Trident BKC and InterContinental Marine Drive, amongst others.
Agarwal plans to grow the format in the future by conducting the Wine Week this twice a year in each major city in India. “At All Things Nice we want people to go out and indulge in wine and wine and food together. A week dedicated to wine that gives people access to over a 1000 wines (both Indian an imported) at significantly reduced prices or an option to indulge in pre designed set course menu’s paired with fine sounds like a great way to celebrate wine. Our aim is to get more people in India to drink better and to experiment with wine. Wine Week allows us or gives us a reason to do just that,” he adds.
